An extraordinary place

Four years ago, Baixu asbl opened its doors in a cellar of Tour & Taxis — the very place where, during the Belgian industrial boom, Chiquita bananas, coffee and precious stones… from all over the world were piled up.

The original decor has remained intact, but made warm, lively, and welcoming.

A room that can hold up to 80 seated and 120 standing people, with acoustics that surprise at every concert.

Baixu is a place to discover artists from all backgrounds and all styles.

It offers small ensemble concerts of classical, jazz and world music, as well as art exhibitions, lectures and documentary film screenings.
