programming
For the 26/27 season, the programme is organised into cycles, allowing you to discover a variety of musical and artistic experiences.
The season is divided into five cycles, with two concerts per week
Cartes blanches
Each guest musician crafts their concert freely, guided solely by the common thread of these encounters. But on this particular evening, they do more than just play: they tell a story. They share with the audience the inner journey that led them to this particular music. A performance that becomes a conversation.
Guest musicians:
Akram Ben Romdhane, Baudouin de Jaere, Celia Rorive, Domenico Ermirio, Jan Rzewski, Jeanfrançois Prins, Laurence Mekhitarian, Marie-Anne Dachi, Maxime Blessin, Samir Bendimered, Soledad Kalza and Sina Kienou.
New Talents
Promising young musicians — some who have already made a name for themselves, others on the verge of doing so — come to the Baixu to assert their artistic identity and, in some cases, to present their debut album.
World music
Brazil and Latin music are, of course, in the spotlight, but so too are the Balkans, Arabic music and many other musical traditions. Baixu knows no boundaries!
A Feast of Words (every first Thursday of the month)
Literature and earthly delights will come together for one evening (you’ll discover the menu and programme as the season progresses).
Cycle: 'In complete freedom!'"
Jazz, classical, rap, opera, choral singing… The Baixu stage welcomes all kinds of music, without boundaries or labels.
